Victory Hat

The hatband on this unique fedora folds into an elegant V on the wearer’s left. V stands for victory: Whatever victories you want to celebrate in your life! 
 
I hand-shaped this fedora's crown in a classic men's homburg. The brim turns up slightly and is protected with a wired and ribbon-bound edge. I finished this hat with a matching ribbon Mackintosh rose hat pin that is detachable. The rose pin gives this hat a nimbleness, a little more feminine or a little more masculine depending on how the hat is styled. In Charles Rennie Mackintosh's architecture, his roses juxtapose hard angles and soft curves--this ribbon rose serves a similar role in this hat design.
